WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The IT team at Eurotech delivers technology solutions to internal and external customers, enabling our users to achieve more by integrating third-party solutions with custom applications and business intelligence tailored to our business processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The team owns services that have been built primarily in Python and domain-specific languages, regularly utilize cloud services and CI/CD pipelines, and are responsible for delivering a combination of backend services and web tools in the areas of internal business systems such as ERP, MES and CRM.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Software Engineer, after an initial training phase, you are expected to:
- Conduct research of existing applications, system data, associated processes and constraints
- Develop and improve integrations between systems and custom applications to support the business processes
- Evaluate business requests against existing architectures and Information Technology (IT) strategies
- Develop and improve the observability and alerting system
- Own, from investigation to resolution, users’ or systems issues and contribute to the internal support knowledge base
WHO YOU ARE
Technical Expertise Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience programming in one of Java, Python or C#
- Knowledge of data storage solution such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SqlServer
- Linux, user level knowledge
- Software design patterns
- High level understanding of architecture-related concepts
Technical Expertise Desired
Other skills that would be desirable include:
- Previous experience in which high levels of initiative, judgment, and tact has been demonstrated
- Must possess superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
- Energized by working with a multinational team in a rapidly growing business
- Knowledge of written and spoken English language
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operation
